THE 8 HOUR YOGATHON ON THURSDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER
Practice for 1 hour, 4 hours or all 8 hours and make a difference to Cancer Research UK.

Last year a good friend of mine and many of us, Fiona Marley, suffered the shock, the surgery, the 8 rounds of cheomotherapy and then the journey back to feeling human again after being diagnosed with bowel cancer. She is now fully recovered and finally feels she can move on with her life.
Fi is raising funds with everyone she knows help, for Cancer Research to support them in their pioneering research into fighting cancer. She never wants anyone to have to endure the treatment she did. With your help we can make a difference. Fi is involved with 8 fund raising events and one of these events is the COWSHED 8 HOUR YOGATHON.
ALL proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK. The target is to raise a massive £3000 through yoga, selling juice, snacks and clothing sales all on the day.
There will be 7 unique yoga classes taking place back to back at my Cowshed Yoga Studio in Sidlesham Common. Each class will be different, interesting and challenging. 6 fabulous yoga teachers will carry you on a journey throughout the day.
A big part of my ever growing enjoyment of the practice has been experiencing different teaching styles. This is a unique opportunity to do that all in the same place in just one day! It is fascinating to notice how your mind and body respond to the various styles and teachings.
8 hours of yoga to me is my idea of complete heaven! I will be teaching and practising for all 8 of the hours and I challenge you all to join Fiona and I for a part of it or if you are feeling the need to go to your edge and beyond your comfort zone in a way you may never have before then do it! All 8 hours with me!!!
The 1 hour classes are £20 the 90 minute classes are £25 and the full 8 hours is £150 and ALL proceeds go to Cancer Research UK. If you are not able to make the 15th September but are keen to donate then please do!! We would love to completely smash the target and make this a day to truly remember.

Teacher Style Information:
Lou’s class is all about the breath so as to reveal your mental and physical strength as we playfully, yet precisely, flow through an intelligent sequence. Final relaxation will assimilate mind, body and soul and leave you calmer, lighter and smiling.
Venetia’s classes are quite traditional incorporating styles from various schools of yoga. She will start with some breathing, mobilization, moving into some stronger posture work, finishing with some poses to wind down and a relaxation. By the end you will have worked on many different areas of your body and moved your spine and joints through most, if not all, their range of movement
Neil will be teaching a traditional BIKRAM HOT yoga class of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. The Bikram method (the original hot yoga) is now entering its 5th decade being taught in this particular way, the class is structured to give your entire body a workout internally and externally using 26 postures in the heated and humid conditions. Available to any yogi at any level.
Jamie’s flow yoga is an eclectic fusion of many styles and traditions. At the core of her dynamic classes is breath-initiated movement with liberal doses of light-heartedness.
Sirkka will be teaching vinyasa flow yoga, in which movement is synchronized to the breath and the practice flowing from one pose to the next in time with an inhale or an exhale. The first part of the class will be a based on strong ‘yang’ yoga flow, which then moves into a slower release ‘yin’ yoga.
Niki’s Power Yoga class was founded by Baron Baptiste. This style of yoga is a dynamic combination of strength, sweat and spirituality. Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga detoxifies, heals, and electrifies. This accessible, challenging, and flowing form of yoga will lead you to a state of transformation — it will sculpt, tone and hone the muscles of your body and your mind. Classes are based on a structure of 53 asanas in 11 series. Within the consistency of this proven structure, there are many modifications and variations that serve the needs of all experience levels. Get ready to take your practice seriously, but yourself lightly as you explore your edge, discover your strength, and awaken your spirit!
